Author Biography
William Marling teaches American Literature, World Literature, and Film at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He has written seven scholarly books, three general interest books, and over eighty chapters and articles on subjects such as anarchism, globalization, Edgar Allan Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Marcel Duchamp, William Carlos Williams, and cell phones in film. Twice a Fulbright Professor (Spain 1983, Austria 1994), he was the Edward Said Chair at American University of Beirut (2008), the Bryant Drake Chair at Kobe College (2000), and the French Ministry of Education Professor at Université d’Avignon, 1998.
