Abstract

Through his transgressive language, Jorge Enrique Adoum has been building his literary identity where creativity is a part of the idiolect, defined by the author as post-Spanish, and translating it is all the more challenging as interpretation scale is polysemic in addition to polyphonic. This Ecuadorian, literary language has played an essential part in laying the foundations of Ecuador’s contemporary literature by proclaiming everyday life as a vector of literature, by raising popular wording as a poetic subject. Translating his narrative and poetry within the text and out of the margin requires thus a broad spectrum of translation strategies substantiated in reengineering language construction.
