Abstract
Based on a queer approach and textual analysis, this article aims to shed light on the possible relationships between celebration and queer within contemporary Cuban literature. To this end, three novels have been selected: Guillermo Cabrera Infante's Tres tristes tigres (1967), Severo Sarduy's De donde son los cantantes (1967) and Reinaldo Arenas' El color del verano (1991). These forays will take us through the world of night, spectacle and carnival, to observe how and to what extent the festive modality celebrates queer identities, behaviors and practices through different literary representations.
