In 2019, several boxes containing books and papers belonging to Paraguayan writer Augusto Roa Bastos (1917-2005), who was exiled in Argentina between 1947 and 1976, were found on a road in Chapadmalal. The books and papers were returned in 2022 to the Paraguayan Embassy in Argentina and arrived in Asunción, where they are now part of the bibliographic collection of the Augusto Roa Bastos Foundation. Several versions of the novelistic journey of this library have already been given, and various hypotheses have been put forward for a discovery that will fundamentally change the critical reading of Roa Bastos' work as it stands today.
