The question posed by this article is at least on the surface simple: what characterises the Spanish 'posporno'? Post-pornography is a concept that has given rise to many theorisations, but most of them do not speak of Spain and are rooted in a North American space/time. This bias is recurrent in cultural studies, under the aegis of which we place our work as an Hispanist. We therefore propose to characterise a Spanish post-porno by confronting different works, particularly French and Spanish, and we hypothesise that this post-porno has a conceptual life independent of that of its North American cousin, linked to the specificity of the Spanish context in its historical, political and cultural dimensions.
