Abstract

We have tried to draw, in synthesis, the history of the Hispanic micro-narrative by analyzing the designation of the genre, its most significant features and those that distinguishes it from similar genres. We also insisted on the predominant aesthetics, authors, books and anthologies, as well as some particularly significant titles. In recent decades, books, magazines and newspapers have been joined by the network with literary supplements, web pages and blogs, which are ideal places for the dissemination of micro-narrative, a new genre that is beginning to be taken into account in the stories of literature.
