In 1994, the “Women's Studies Program” of Casa de las Americas, directed by Luisa Campuzano, was born in Cuba, surely the largest space for reflection on feminism and gender issues since the triumph of the Revolution. By chance, this same year we celebrated the centenary of the birth of a woman who, if she was not born in Cuba, left a weak mark on it, as an intellectual, educator, writer and above all as a thinker of feminism: Camila Henríquez Ureña.
